Customer goes through my line yesterday and all is well until her son shows up and asks if he can have the Green Day CD "American Idiot". Kid claims it's the edited version, though I've never seen an edited version of anything at our store.

Mother replies no, because she will not buy anything from anyone that calls themselves an american idiot.

To be fair, the lyrics Billie Joe sings are "Don't want to be an american idiot" not that he is.

She later added that she doesn't support idiots. Which in a weird way, explains the recent lack of CD sales. People don't support idiots. But at the same time, you realize that more people buy 50 Cent then Fiery Furnaces so the theory goes to shit.

Personally, I think the sheer fact that the CD is $18.99 at our store is good enough.

Though I am really glad that she didn't go with "I will not support any band that doesn't like the president." Because if you go by that logic, it's Ted Nugent and Toby Keith for you for all time.
